Millet Porridge

This is a delicious Millet porridge recipe. It is sweet and rich making it perfect for breakfast or even a warm snack.

Ingredients (Serves 2)
  • 2/3 cups millet


  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water


  • 1 cup milk (or soy milk)


  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


  • 1/8 teaspoon salt


  • Your favorite dried fruit (to taste)


  • maple syrup or honey, as topping (to taste)


  • Directions

    In a large microwave safe bowl, add the millet, boiling water, milk, vanilla, salt, and dried fruit. Mix thoroughly. Microwave on high for 5 1/2 minutes. Allow to cool enough to eat. Eat warm topped with maple syrup or honey.
